Come on-A my house - Rosemary Clooney

I picked this Kentucky girl , as my last "summer" post....
"Summer is over" , by Dusty , or Brian Hyland's mellon collie "Sealed with a kiss" , will always remain in the highest positions of Depecher's filthy chart , this particular period , of every fuckin' year....and that is something that can hardly ever change....
It's like the rendez-vous song of the Happenings , "See you in September" .....which will always remain the ultimate "September song" no matter what ....'cause it's CLASSIC ! ! That simple....
Back to Rosemary now....["she goes where my love grows" ....according to Edison Lighthouse...hahahaha!!!]
The aunt of the famous actor George Clooney , really "made" some of my nights , and at the same time she kind of "forced" me to jump of my bed , and try to bake a cake or do my laundry in the middle of a hot summer night .....
Her invitation is "Simply Irresistible" like Robert Palmer's Rock'n'Roll red lipstick , horryfying like Christofer Lee's face on the sleeve of "Band on the Run " , and irefusable like a "Godfather's" wise-guy offer ....
Question No 1:"Do or Die " ? ? ?
Answer:"Do ...and perhaps Die Another Day"
Question No 2 : "Coffee , tea ...or me " ? ? ?
Answer: " Mango Juice on the rocks with a slice of banana bread , and please do me a favour and put your glasses back on...."
Question No 3 : "Happy now ..." ? ? ?
Answer: " Like the Happy-Hour ..." ! ! !
P.S : "Come on-A my house " was a No 1 at Billboard's chart in 1951 and one of Rosemary's biggest hits....

L'appareil a sous - Brigitte Bardot

Although B.B was considered to be THE ultimate sex symbol of the 60's , if i had to choose between her and Jane Birkin for a one night stand , i would definetely take Jane....Maybe 'cause she's closer to the "girl next door" icon , more accesible , and brunette....I don't know...

The only sure thing is that Gainsbourg was one hell of a lucky bastard ! ! !

He banged B.B , and Jane as well , while having a chart topper with "Je t'aime mois non plus" in duet with the ex-wife of John Barry , who at the time was already a 20year old unemployed, single mom .....and agreed to be the one who was going to replace B.B's voice on the duet.....

B.B , was the first one who recorded the song with Gainsbourg , but she demanded that the single would not be released , as her relationship with the Jewish songwriter , was already media's favorite subject , and that didn't please her at all ....

Gainsbourg had already a Eurovision Contest Winner-song, with France Gall's "Poupee de cire poupee de son " , and a bunch of other hits , like "Bonnie & Clyde " [ a duet with Brigitte ...] and "L'appareil a sous " which is one of my favourites , and comes next....

P.S : Q's duets list SUCKS ! ! !The cheesy "Fairy tail of New York " at No 2 ???? and Lee with Nancy at No 1 ????? Fuck NO !!!!! Some velvet morning when i'm fucked ! ! ! It's an o.k song , but there's no way that this can be the best duet of all times ! ! !

What happened to "Interlude" by Siouxsie and Moz ???....or "Say , say , say " by Paul and Michael ?? I guess your fuckin' Musicologists do not approve the way those voices macth ....right ??? That's completely ridiculous ! ! !

Whatever Lola wants , Lola gets - Sarah Vaughan

Sarah Vaughan , aka "Sassy" , was and will always be one of the most wondrous voices of the 20th Century...
She balanced between the jazzy Billie , and the more bluesy Ella , with an amazing vocal range ,and a totaly individual style that none of the above could reach...or imitate !
Influenced by traditional gospel , she created her own unique style , and she was surprised when the critics wanted to categorize her as a "jazz" singer , or a "blues" singer....
Later on , the term "bop" was invented , and "Sassy" became one of its pioneers....
However you wanna call it , "Sassy" was the ultimate pop star of her era ...
I imagine her , performing Estelle's "American Boy" or Adele's "Chasing Pavements" ....It would have been too damn easy for her....
On the other hand , i'm not quite sure if Duffy [ the girl who faced a decent record store at the age of 18 ! ! ! ! ] could perform half of the following song without "begging"her sound engineer for help , or God for "Mercy" ! ! ! What a waste....
